RE/MAX is born when Dave and Gail Liniger, two 20-something real estate agents from Denver, Colorado, decide to develop a new real estate concept. They create RE/MAX an acronym for “real estate maximums”, a system that encourages quality real estate salespeople to realize their business potential |

The first franchise outside Colorado is established. |

Two Canadians, Frank Polzler and Walter Schneider contact Dave Liniger. They want to bring RE/MAX to Eastern Canada. Liniger agrees, and RE/MAX Ontario-Atlantic Canada is born. |

The number of RE/MAX Sales Associates triples in two short years. There is now a total of 3,000 RE/MAX Sales Associates in North America.
RE/MAX WEST establishes the 1st RE/MAX office in Eastern Canada. |

RE/MAX WEST takes over RE/MAX Traditional in High Park. |
| 1988 |
The number of RE/MAX Sales Associates skyrockets to 20,000. RE/MAX becomes the NO. 1 real estate organization in Canada. |

RE/MAX WEST buys out RE/MAX Nice in the Kingsway. |
| 1990 |
RE/MAX WEST acquires RE/MAX United in downtown Toronto and nears the 200 agent mark. |

RE/MAX offices open in the Caribbean. |

RE/MAX sponsors the Children’s Miracle Network, supporting children’s hospitals across North America. RE/MAX of Mexico is established. |

RE/MAX travels “across the pond” to Europe. |
| 1994 |
The familiar RE/MAX sign appears in offices in Spain and South Africa. |
| 1995 |
Italy, Israel and Germany join the RE/MAX network in Europe. |

At the quarter century mark there are now 48,000 RE/MAX Sales Associates in 2,900 offices around the world. RE/MAX’s global reach extends to Australia, Singapore, Turkey, the Southern United Kingdom, Scotland and Ireland. |

The Netherlands and Greece join the RE/MAX network. |
| 1999 |
Prior to the new millennium Austria, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Portugal and southern France join the RE/MAX network. |

The year 2000 brings Norway and Iceland to RE/MAX and takes the RE/MAX growth to over 62,000 RE/MAX Sales Associates situated in 3,500 offices in 32 countries and six continents.
RE/MAX WEST expands into Bolton, Ontario by purchasing Coldwell Banker Results. Agent count now approaching 300. |

RE/MAX is still growing, the RE/MAX network can be found in 38 countries with more than 67,965 sales associates in 4,029 offices. |
| 2002 |
RE/MAX heads into 2002 with over 5,000 sales associates in the Ontario-Atlantic Canada region. RE/MAX sales associates across Canada have contributed over $12 million dollars to the Children's Miracle Network since the inception of the RE/MAX Miracle Home Program in 1992. RE/MAX heads into 2002 with over 80,000 sales associates worldwide. |

RE/MAX WEST goes East in Scarborough by purchasing Sutton Group Omega. |
| 2004 |
RE/MAX WEST continues to grow and expand in both technology and sales associates and has expanded north in Thornhill by acquiring a RE/MAX All-Stars branch. |

RE/MAX WEST’s goal is to reach 500 by the end of 2005! |
